Arm Chair in Walnut and Ash

Arm chair in Ash with Walnut seat.  This chair is a reinterpretation of a Hans Wegner design and made with a seat of solid English walnut.  The seat provides a structural solidity to the chair which is complemented by the richness and patina of the walnut to bring a sense of comfort and luxury.  The back and arm rests, jointed in the middle by 5 walnut stitches, form a continuous flow that wraps around and frames the seat.   The back legs, shaped in three planes, and the back rest are shaped from 6" thick planks of English Ash.  The chair is generously proportioned and extremely comfortable.
